Megaman Star Force Perfect Collection Launches March 27 with 7 Titles
Capcom has announced that the Megaman Star Force Perfect Collection will launch on March 27, 2026. This comprehensive collection brings together all seven titles from the Megaman Star Force series, originally released on Nintendo DS. The collection includes the three main games with their various version differences: Megaman Star Force Leo/Dragon/Pegasus (Star Force 1), Megaman Star Force 2 Berserk×Shinobi/Berserk×Dinosaur, and Megaman Star Force 3 Black Ace/Red Joker. The series celebrates its 20th anniversary this year, making this collection a significant release for fans of the action RPG franchise.
Set in the year 220X where radio wave communication technology has advanced significantly, the story follows fifth-grader Subaru Hoshikawa. After his astronaut father goes missing, Subaru becomes withdrawn and stops attending school. He eventually meets a radio wave life form named War-Rock and can transform into Megaman through radio wave conversion. The game features a more serious storyline than typical children’s games, dealing with themes of loneliness and connection. Players battle viruses and radio wave life forms in the invisible radio wave world, entering electronic devices’ cyber brains to operate them.

The Perfect Collection includes various support functions to maximize enjoyment of the series. Players can adjust the game screen layout, including position, ratio, and wallpaper settings while maintaining original graphics. Additional quality-of-life improvements include adjustable encounter rates and dash speeds. New voice acting has been added for radio wave conversion and battle sequences, along with arranged background music tracks. The collection also includes previously hard-to-obtain append cards, a gallery mode, and a music player. Early purchase bonuses include standby characters Subaru Hoshikawa (casual clothes) and War-Rock.

The battle system uses a 5×3 grid field where players fight viruses and radio wave life forms. The key element is battle cards, which are randomly dealt each turn from the player’s folder (deck). Players select cards in the custom screen to begin action phases, using consumable battle cards and unlimited-use Rock Buster attacks. The series evolved across its three main entries, with Star Force 1 limiting radio wave conversion to specific locations, Star Force 2 allowing movement beyond Wave Roads, and Star Force 3 enabling radio wave conversion anywhere. This collection preserves the strategic deck-building and intuitive action that made the series popular, now enhanced for modern platforms.
