Katamari Damacy ‘Find the Prince’ Picture Book Released in Japan
KADOKAWA Game Linkage has published a new search-and-find picture book titled “Terebi Game Magazine Game Daizukan Katamari Damacy: Prince o Sagase!” (Find the Prince!). The book was released on March 18, 2026, and features colorful illustrations based on stages from various Katamari Damacy games. Players can search for hidden characters like the Prince and his companions, as well as items such as dumplings and umbrellas within the detailed scenes. The book is designed to be enjoyable for both children and adult fans of the quirky rolling game series, offering puzzle-solving entertainment that doesn’t require prior knowledge of the games.
All search-and-find illustrations in the book are original artwork created by the development teams behind recent Katamari Damacy titles. These include “Katamari Damacy Reroll,” “We Love Katamari Reroll + Royal Reverie,” and “Once Upon a Katamari.” The scenes are based on stages that have appeared throughout the series, filled with the distinctive objects and characters that define Katamari’s whimsical world. The book measures 180mm × 210mm and contains 32 pages of content, with all kanji characters featuring furigana readings to make it accessible to younger readers.
KADOKAWA Game Linkage’s online shopping site is offering a special ebtenDX pack that includes both the picture book and an acrylic “Prince Search Stick” designed to help locate hidden characters. This limited edition bundle will be available while supplies last. The standard edition of the book retails for 1,320 yen (~$9.50), which includes 1,200 yen plus tax. The search stick adds a practical and collectible element to the puzzle-solving experience, making the special edition particularly appealing to dedicated fans.
