GTA 6 Map Size Leak: 3 Hours to Cross on Foot, 7 Minutes by Air

A new set of rumored figures about the map scale of Grand Theft Auto 6 has been circulating online. According to information attributed to Konsolum, crossing the entire map takes roughly 180 minutes (three hours) on foot, about 35 minutes by car, and around seven minutes by aircraft. The claims surfaced on October 27 and have quickly drawn attention from players trying to gauge just how large the game world will be when it launches.
According to the circulating data, a full traversal of the map breaks down into three rough benchmarks. On foot, the trip would reportedly take around three hours, drive time is estimated at 35 minutes, and a flight across the map would require about seven minutes. These numbers are presented as estimates for crossing the map from one side to the other, rather than for ordinary in-game travel between nearby locations.

If the rumor proves accurate, the map would be substantial in scale. The report notes that a three-hour walk would suggest a world filled with large numbers of streets, natural scenery, and interior spaces. Even the seven-minute flight time is framed as evidence of the wide span of the state of Leonida, since crossing it by air still takes a measurable amount of time.

Rockstar has not verified any of these figures. The report points out that Grand Theft Auto 6 has had a long development cycle, with map-size rumors appearing repeatedly, and cautions that this particular set of numbers may be based on estimates of only some areas of the game world. Grand Theft Auto 6 is currently scheduled to launch on November 19 for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S. If the figures hold up, that would be a remarkably large playground — but until Rockstar weighs in, they remain firmly in rumor territory.
