GTA 6 Fan Creates Stunning High-Res Screenshots From Official Trailer

A dedicated Grand Theft Auto VI fan has crafted a series of high-definition screenshots by meticulously recreating frames from Rockstar Games’ official promotional footage. Shared on an online community platform, these images were produced through a frame-by-frame restoration process, with the creator using Photoshop for manual extraction and composition before applying AI-powered enhancement tools. The final results bear a striking resemblance to official Rockstar visuals, drawing praise from viewers who commented that the screenshots captured the authentic feel of the series.
According to the creator, the process primarily involved manual work in Photoshop, extracting and compositing backgrounds frame by frame from the original video. Using the bank robbery scene featuring Raul Bautista engaging in a shootout with police as an example, the fan carefully isolated background elements while striving to preserve the gritty, realistic aesthetic that defines the GTA franchise. AI tools were only used to fill in areas where visual information was missing from the source footage.

After completing the manual work, the creator used Google’s Gemini AI tool to sharpen the overall image quality. However, the AI independently added unintended details during its optimization process — including tire marks and cracks on the road surface, as well as garbled and misaligned text on police vehicles. The creator humorously remarked that these small imperfections were left uncorrected, noting that the accidental additions actually contributed a raw, authentic texture to the final images.

To improve overall clarity, dynamic effects such as gunfire smoke and shattered glass from bullet impacts were deliberately removed during post-processing. The fan has indicated a willingness to share the complete workflow and behind-the-scenes screenshots if the community shows interest. This project demonstrates how dedicated fans are using available tools to create convincing game visuals long before the title’s official release, blending artistic skill with emerging AI technology in creative ways.
