Fields of Mistria 1.0 Launches August 5 with Marriage, Skills, and Full Localization

The highly anticipated 1.0 version of Fields of Mistria, the fantasy farm simulation game from developer NPC Studio, has been officially dated for an August 5, 2026 global release. This date marks exactly two years since the game first entered early access. Often described by players as a “fantasy version of Stardew Valley,” Fields of Mistria distinguishes itself through its focus on relaxed life simulation rather than high-pressure time management, complemented by a distinctive anime-inspired art style and a magic combat system that sets it apart within the farming sim genre.
The 1.0 update brings a substantial wave of new features. NPC relationship caps will increase from 8 hearts to 10 hearts, allowing players to propose marriage to their chosen character, host weddings, and raise children. The mining areas and dungeons have received numerous new quests and rewards. Additionally, the town reputation cap has been raised to level 100, unlocking a complete town restoration storyline. Other additions include an achievement system, expanded skill talents, new furniture and decorations, and mount skins.

For the first time, Fields of Mistria will introduce localization support with a test version covering seven languages, including Simplified and Traditional Chinese. This expansion makes the game accessible to a significantly wider international audience. NPC Studio has also warned players that a technical engine update will be pushed on July 7, approximately one month before the 1.0 launch. This update will render most existing mods incompatible, requiring mod authors to update their creations before they can be used again.

The studio has confirmed that the 1.0 release is not the end of development. Additional content updates are planned for the future, and the team is considering porting the game to console platforms as well. With its blend of fantasy elements, relationship mechanics, and farming simulation, Fields of Mistria has carved out a notable space in the genre since its early access debut. The addition of marriage and family systems in version 1.0 should give completionists and role-players plenty more to sink their time into, making this a significant milestone for the title.
